Qadr allah wa ma shaa faal

NOT what our home looks like … haha…. Then, there were the leaks from pipes in mysterious locations — plumbers came in and out breaking through walls only to find their diagnosis in error. Meanwhile, the glass extension which we had had such hopes for continued to disappoint by letting in rain. Our small living area was cluttered beyond belief. It seemed that we just could not get a handle on things and there were days when we felt like screaming our lungs out and throwing the towel in.

We were anxious to get back to our home schooling. When things settled down and we had to begin the slow process of cleaning and putting everything back in, we became reacquainted with our possessions. We learnt that we had inherited, purchased and clung on to many things that were simply not enhancing our lives.

Alhamdulillah, the experience had taught us not to buy anything heedlessly and to give freely what others could use, rather than hang on to them for sentimental reasons. We have to learn to just grit our teeth and be patient. Most of all, we need Allah and we need to trust in Him. His affairs are all good. If he experiences ease, he is grateful, and that is good for him.

If he experiences hardship, he faces it with patience and perseverance, and that is also good for him. So many would buckle under pressure. Hope the refurbishments have gone well though! I think I could have handled the situation and myself better, to be honest!

Help our brother Ismaeel Beaumont - Little Maysoor

An exciting day at Nursery on Monday. Hounslow Heath Police MPS were extremely kind to visit us and tell us all about how they help our community. We were privileged to have their car visit us too! We had a very interactive circle time with them and got a chance to see all of their gadgets! Some serious detective work was taking place in nursery!

We managed to solve lots of mysteries…. Some essential literacy and numeracy practice…. Pencil control practice. Free flow. Colouring our 3D Police car. Outdoor play. The all important hand washing through out our day of course…. Making Police cars! The Nursery Police Service had a very serious crime scene to attend to and investigate…. They had to call in some Year 6 back up to help investigate this case….

An exciting rocket launch was witnessed by the nursery children too, along with the rest of the school….To all my colleagues in the medical profession :. As many people hit middle age, they often start to notice that their memory and mental clarity are not what they used to be. While seemingly innocent, this loss of mental focus can potentially have a detrimental impact on our professional, social, and personal well-being.

It turns that the brain needs exercise in much the same way our muscles do, and the right mental workouts can significantly improve our basic cognitive functions. Thinking is essentially a process of making neural connections in the brain. To a certain extent, our ability to excel in making the neural connections that drive intelligence is inherited. However, because these connections are made through effort and practice, scientists believe that intelligence can expand and fluctuate according to mental effort.

Lumosityis far more than an online place to exercise your mental skills. The program keeps track of your progress and provides detailed feedback on your performance and improvement. Most importantly, it constantly modifies and enhances the games you play to build on the strengths you are developing—much like an effective exercise routine requires you to increase resistance and vary your muscle use.

Apparently it does. In randomized, controlled clinical trials, Lumosity was shown to significantly improve basic cognitive functions. The company says its users have reported clearer and quicker thinking, improved memory for names, numbers, directions, increased alertness and awareness, elevated mood, and better concentration at work or while driving.

While many of the games at Lumosity are free, a modest subscription fee is required to use the full program over the long term. However, Lumosity is currently offering a free trial of their program to new users so that you can see how well it works before you decide to subscribe. The trial is completely free no credit card required and the company believes the results will speak for themselves.

Click here to try for yourself. Timeless article by Yasmin Mogahed. I could never forget, and the break never mended. Like a glass vase that you place on the edge of a table, once broken, the pieces never quite fit again. Or even that the vases kept breaking. The problem was that I kept putting them on the edge of tables. Through my attachments, I was dependent on my relationships to fulfill my needs.

I allowed those relationships to define my happiness or my sadness, my fulfillment or my emptiness, my security, and even my self-worth. And so, like the vase placed where it will inevitably fall, through those dependencies I set myself up for disappointment. I set myself up to be broken. But the people who broke me were not to blame any more than gravity can be blamed for breaking the vase. The twig was never created to carry us. Our weight was only meant to be carried by God. And God hears and knows all things.

There is a crucial lesson in this verse: that there is only one handhold that never breaks. There is only one place where we can lay our dependencies. There is only one relationship that should define our self-worth and only one source from which to seek our ultimate happiness, fulfillment, and security. That place is God.

As a place where people are with you today, and leave or die tomorrow. But this reality hurts our very being because it goes against our nature. We, as humans, are made to seek, love, and strive for what is perfect and what is permanent.

Qadrullahi wa maa shaa’ fa’ala – Allah has decreed and whatever he wills, He does…

We seek this because we were not made for this life. Our first and true home was Paradise: a land that is both perfect and eternal. So the yearning for that type of life is a part of our being. And so I was reminded of the phrase few days ago when I had a bout of mild food poisoning. Terrible, definitely. True enough. I had been looking forward to it all week, plans to go to the book fair and buy lotsa books, buy dresses and hijabs, explore the place, the food, basically a wind-down before I start prepping for my exams.

Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu to my dear brothers and sisters. For our brother Ismaeel Beaumont. A small intro for those of you who don't know. After a long battle and a long period in hospital and many operations and complications along the way, by the Grace and Mercy of Allah he managed to beat the Cancer Alhamdulillah.

Unfortunately we have received the new today that the Cancer has returned and spread. The Doctor has told Ismaeel that if he does not take the Chemotherapy he may only have a couple of months to live. We ask Allah to cure him and give him a long life. Please watch the video below for more info.

Additionally I would like for him and his family to be able to take a holiday of a lifetime after the Covid Restrictions so they can in sha Allah experience some moments of ease and tranquility together, even if just for a short time and make some memories that will last a lifetime regardless of what happens in the future to our brother.

Our brother has displayed such beautiful patience through this trial so far, so I pray we are able together to show our appreciation to him in his time of need.

Even if you can or can't donate please keep him in your duas as this is the weapon of the believer and may Allah reward you all and let it weigh heavy on your scales of good deeds on Yammul Qiyyamah.

Report fundraiser. This one night surpasses the value of 30, nights. On the way he saw two men arguing with each other. The sun at sunrise would appear reddish and without its normal blazing and sharp rays. The sun comes up in its morning weak, reddish. What should one do during the last ten days in pursuit of Lailatul Qadr?

The long qiyaam prayer has been particularly recommended during the nights on which Laylat ul-Qadr could fall. This is indicated in many hadeeths, such as the following:. Then he stood with us that night — in prayer until one third of the night had passed. He did not pray with us on the sixth. On the fifth night, he prayed with us until half of the night had passed. Their isnad is authentic.

Whoever asks for something halal I shall grant it; and whoever seeks forgiveness, I shall forgive him. If I knew which night is Laylat ul-Qadr, what should I say during it? You are forgiving, and youlove forgiveness. So forgive me. Sincere devotion on that night will render the believer forgetful of the time, until he is surprised by the Adhan of Fajr.

After Fajr, as the sun creeps above the horizon, reddish and weak in its appearance, without any rays, the effort at night will have been worthwhile. It is also the Night when all ordainments for the year are decreed. Astaghfirullah why would you do that??! You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account. It's a work in progress, and any additions you may have are welcome! Uh uh uh. I'm a dumbo. It has the children cracking up, maashaa Allah. You see, I wanted to satirize pop culture fashion so the children could see the ridiculous side of it, not just think it was "cool.

As part of my mothering strategies I come up with a lot of nutty stuff to give a different view of what's considered "in, hip, cool, etc. Subhaanak Allahumma wa bihamdik, laa illaaha illaa ant, astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilayk. Thursday, November 9, Intentions. Bism Illah wa assalaamu alaykum. Ever find yourself held to account by others for the things you didn't do,continue, or complete?

I'm not talking about blameworthy issues where you were lazy or negligent, as those things are from shaytaan. Well, here's my du'a for you. May Allah reward you for all the good you do and all the good you intend to do, because you plan and Allah Plans, but only Allah's Plan will happen. Tuesday, November 7, Are your reminders benefiting you?

Bism Illah wa assalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. What ever happened to the reminder benefiting the believer?

Subhaan Allah, when we see another make an error and simply send a hadith or statement of reminder, not even directly addressing their specific issue, we can be accused of attacking them. Language is so misused. A careful and caring reminder is not an attack. Sincerely addressing an error or fault is done out of love. When reminded, or even when attacked, I believe the best response is to take it to heart.

Immediately make istighfar and look for the error of your ways, or the truth in the statement. Be guilty until proven innocent in your own court. Sometimes you will find that you've been misunderstood, misjudged, or been the object of bad suspicions. But even then, you must consider what you did that left the door open to be misconstrued and seek to close that door in the future.

Rather than immediately jumping to your own defense, jump start your own taqwa and seek the lesson or rectification that the reminder is meant for.
